Q. How do I set the date and time formats used by Field Contact or another Kodiak program?

A: Our programs use the date and time formats set by the Windows Operating System you are using. To change your date and time formats, open Control Panel, then Regional and Language Settings. Once you have changed the formats here, Field Contact will use your new settings.

Q: What password do I use for Field Contact or Police Report Writer Version 7?

A: The original password is kodiak. You may, of course change this once you have logged in for the first time. If you are iin a program that asks for an account, then the default account name is also kodiak. For both Police Report Writer - SD and Police Field Contact - SD the default account and password are both kodiak.

Q: How do I add more Citizen, Suspect, Vehicle or Property tabs in the Police Report Writers?

A: There are two ways. You can right click on an existing tab in the section and then select Add New Tab from the pop-up menu, or you can use the speed buttons located on the bar just below the Help menu item. In Police Report Writer - SD we have also added a button under each list to add a new Citizen, Suspect, Property, or Vehicle tab.

Q: How much do the programs cost?

A: Prices are posted on the Buy Now page which can be accessed by pressing the Buy Now button located at the top of all pages. As with everything, the prices do go up occasionally and may be different from what you have downloaded with your trial program. The price we will charge is the price listed on this website.

Q: How do I pay for the programs? / Do you accept Purchase Orders?

A: You can purchase our programs using a credit card by going to the Buy Now page which can be accessed by pressing the Buy Now button located at the top of all pages. If you are a government or institutional agency, we will accept your purchase order for the product and bill your department. For more information about purchases email us at support@kdksys.com 

Q: How is support handled?

A: In order to keep our prices low, we handle the majority of our support by email. We also have the ability to offer remote support where we can troubleshoot your installation by direct connection to your computer through our remote support site. If you have an active support contract with us, we provide support by other means also. For more information about support issues, email us at support@kdksys.com 

Q: Can I buy disks?

A: We do not supply disks for our software. You can create your own disks by copying the installation programs, which you downloaded on our site, on to your own disks.  There is an option provided by our credit card processor to purchase a disk for the Police Field Contact Personal program when you pay by credit card. That disk is created and shipped by them, not us.
